Ben Strother, the owner of Greenplants Inc., started his career in the plant business at an early age of ten with his parents. His parents ventured into the plant business in 1976, naming their first company Mr. Greenplants, which later became Greenplants Inc. The company specialized in retail sales and interior plant leasing for various homes and businesses.

Ben took over the business in 1991, and focused mostly on plant leasing. Then in 2005, the company acquired the current location. This location used to be known as Fosters Flowers, for people who are familiar with the flower business. Fosters Flowers was famous for growing variety of plants in the 1960's to 1990's. Since the move, Greenplants Inc. has branched out to wholesaling plants to the flower shops.

Having been in the plant business for so many years with much experience, Ben keeps a wide range of plants and flowers at Greenplants Inc. Ordinary houseplants such as the Peace Lily, Dieffenbachia, and Dracaena family, to exotic plants such as Orchids, Bromeliads, and Anthurium with blooms the size of your fist can be seen at the company, catering to various needs and tastes. These plants are purchased mostly from Florida, California, and New Mexico.
